We'll have all the tools you'll need. Directions: Don't go to the normal parking area! Go 2.5 miles past, then left on the first paved road.(Milford Plantation) Next go about a half mile and then left on a dirt road. You'll see trucks parked along this dirt road. Same time & place.Manchester Trail Cutting Volunteer day on Saturday Feb 10th, 10am.Directions: Don't go to the normal parking area! Go 2.5 miles past, then left on the first paved road. Important instructions: It's important to the forester that we not cut any established trees, so don't bring a chainsaw. Just bring hand tools like a machete or maybe loppers. Also, this is going to be a single-track, motorcycle only trail, so don't bring a 4-wheeler. Definately bring your motorcycle because you will need it to get around and to "ride in" the trail later in the afternoon. Manchester state Forest new trail construction! A new singletrack, motorcycle only trail is being laid out in Manchester by SCORE. The trail is 9 miles long. We will be needing volunteers to help cut the new trail in very soon. (Columbia) Manchester state Forest trail grooming updateWe groomed Manchester with our SWECO dozer August 8-10. No more whoop-de-doos. Forestry Commission is sharing in the cost with your fee dollars. Cookout August 26th at ManchesterOn August 26th, we are hosting a trash cleanup/cookout at the Manchester trailhead. I'll be there by 9.00 with trashbags. We will eat around 12 pm, at the latest.
